Abstract:The propose of this paper is to present a possible vector based approach for multiple attribute group decision making where the attribute values are represented by hesitate fuzzy linguistic term sets (HFLTSs). An HFLTS is considered as a given preference element and is first transformed to a corresponding possibility distribution vector. Based on the possiblility distibution vectors, the hesitant fuzzy linguistic weighted average (HFLWA) operator is proposed. The distance between two HFLTSs is then defined. The maximizing deviation method is extended to determine the objective weights of the attributes. According to the HFLWA operator and the maximizing deviation method, a general framework to address the multiple attribute group decision making problem with hesitate fuzzy linguistic information is developed. Finally, a numerical example using the proposed approach illustrates an application to evaluate the third party logistics service providers.
