20年后，戈登·盖柯从监狱出来了，准备重新投身到华尔街商战中，但他很快就无奈的发现自己已经跟不上时代了，这个华尔街比他当年更加贪婪和凶险。他警告人们危机随时都有可能降临，但没人把他当回事。戈登只好转向自己的家庭，试图修补与女儿破裂的关系。
